DealTown has software installed to automatically detect where the computer is located. This software is only 80% correct. On the case where it isn’t accurate in detecting your location, we give you the opportunity to Change your Location. DealTown then keeps this new location as your default, and will use it when you return.

Town Sponsor ads are based on your Default Location. If there are no Town Sponsor ads for that area, the closest town that has ads is retrieved up to 25 miles. If there are no Town Sponsor ads within a 25 mile radius a generic DealTown advertisement gets displayed.

If there are town sponsors for your default location, we display those. If there are no Town Sponsors and no new Merchants, we display a generic DealTown image.

Merchants must have subscribed to the Featured Merchant Package to have a Featured Merchant Ad. Featured Merchant Ads are displayed randomly in the Town page, Search Page, and User Account based on a 25 mile radius of the user's default location.

Town Pages were built base on the population of towns greater than 1000.

All merchants that have deals (coupons, promotions & daily specials) within a 25 mile radius of the town are displayed with their deal title. If a merchant is in DealTown, but has no deals, it will not get displayed in the Town Page.

For a Merchant account to become searchable and live on DealTown, the link in the confirmation email must be clicked. A Merchant could also call the 1-800-955-7375 number and have an administrator confirm the account.

All Merchant information shown on the DealTown is based on your location. Some companies have more than 1 location. To show the different locations individually, there is information for each location.
